Line Painting Project on Borough Streets and State Routes. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the amount of the Contract Price within fifteen days following the award of the Contract. The work under this Contract shall be performed throughout the 2024 construction season for areas scheduled by the Highway Department for Painting and Markings on various streets throughout the Borough of Chambersburg. The Town Council intends to award a contract to the overall lowest responsive responsible bidder as determined by Town Council in the best interest of the Borough of Chambersburg. The lowest responsive responsible Bidder shall be the Bidder who proposes to use the greatest amount of paint, as measured in gallons, to paint an as yet undetermined number of lane and markings on Borough streets and State Routes. Question Deadline 03/14/2024 Any questions or requests for interpretation of any provision of the Bidding Documents shall be made to Charles Nipe, Public Works Director, at 717-251-2496 or cnipe@chambersburgpa.gov at least five (5) days prior to the submission deadline. Bids will be received at the above address until 10:00 A.M. on TUESDAY, March 19, 2024. Any Bid received after said date and time will be returned unopened. All Bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Bid for Borough of Chambersburg", bearing the name of the bidder and "Line Painting Project on Borough Streets and State Routes".
