Renovation of a municipal facility in Toronto, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Upgrade to the Greenwood storage yard to accommodate the modern, higher capacity fleet. The 55-year-old yard (as well as its carhouse and shop) needs to be reconfigured and updated. This includes re-signaling with Automatic Train Control (ATC)-ready signals and switches, and retrofitting facilities to enable servicing of roof-mounted systems on trains. TIMELINE: Prime consultant completed an engineering design study spring 2022 which was forwarded to the owner. The study identified required infrastructure upgrades at this yard. Designs are complete. Information and timelines on the tender and construction will not be confirmed by the owner. There is however currently no timeline for the procurement of this work. If and when the TTC decides to issue a procurement for these infrastructure works, it will be posted on MERX. Project will be followed once the tender is eventually issued.
