The City of Bristol is accepting bids on the following: Annual Requirements for Plumbing Services The work to be performed by the Contractor consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, supplies, and equipment necessary to provide plumbing services and repairs as requested by City staff. Please note that the intent of this contract is for ad-hoc plumbing services; the City reserves the right to competitively bid on projects determined to be larger than the scope of the services requested herein. It is the responsibility of the contractor to provide any equipment necessary to perform the required services, at no additional cost to the City. No bond requirements are relevant to this contract. Failure of a contractor to perform will constitute authority for the City to pursue services on the open market. Bidders are advised that the City of Bristol has established and maintains information relative to vendor debarment for failure to perform. All labor rates shall include overhead and profit. Any submittals that do not include overhead and profit in the base hourly labor rate will not be accepted. Any payment for travel time or mileage, to and from the job site, will not be paid by the City. Payment for travel time to and from the job site is strictly the contractors responsibility. These specifications intend to obtain ad-hoc services from plumbing contractors to be performed on an as needed basis, as requested by the City Department of Public Works, Building Department, Parks Department, or from the Bristol Board of Education. Please note that work involving an estimated budget cost of greater than $25,000.00 will typically be addressed as a separate project, and are not considered to be within the scope of this contract. In the event of work requiring critical response time, the City may elect to directly solicit quotations for work estimated to be within $10,000.00 but less than $25,000.00, directly from firms awarded under this contract, with quotations solicited solely and directly by the Purchasing Agent. Such quotations shall be made consistent with the contracted rates set forth within this contract. This contract shall be for the period from the date of award through April 30, 2026; with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods with mutual consent. The City reserves the right to make awards to more than one but not more than four contractors, to ensure adequate coverage of serious and prompt response time to City needs. To adequately ensure timely response to work described within these specifications, the City intends to make award of this contract to firms(s) that are either within the borders of Bristol or not more than twenty (20) miles driving distance from any border of Bristol The City of Bristol reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid responses, in whole or in part, to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgement, the best interests of the City will be served. Determination of the best interests of the City shall include consideration of active or pending civil litigation between the City and any firm (or its subcontractor or supplier) submitting a bid to the City
