Pre-construction documentation of existing site conditions and access roads including photos and/or videos. 2. Pre-construction and post-construction site surveys and all surveys for measurement of quantities for interim and final pay requests. 3. Mobilization and demobilization. 4. Developing the staging areas as needed. 5. Temporary fencing around the site, staging areas, and near-water and in-water construction. 6. Survey of known utilities and de-energizing known power and telecom within the work limits. 7. Conducting selective potholing to locate and verify targeted anomalous areas. 8. Locating a water source for Contractor dust control mitigation and compaction. B. Levee crown construction: 1. Traffic control and flagging for public safety during ingress and egress of construction traffic. 2. Excavation, demolition, and disposal of the leach field, septic system and appurtenances, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. 3. Placement of Levee Fill to backfill excavated septic system location and cap with aggregate base resurfacing to use as staging and laydown for remainder of the project. 4. Excavation of remaining facility components (pipe; concrete; conduits; etc) 5. Demolition of remaining facility components and off-haul. 6. Placement of Levee Fill to backfill excavated site and cap with aggregate base resurfacing. 7. Placement of geotextile fabric and soil-filled rockfill. 8. Placement of 6" agricultural soil, seeding, and erosion control fabric. C. Near water (levee slope) and in-water construction: 1. Demolition and removal of catwalk. Notice to Contractors 2. Demolition and removal of discharge pipe. 3. Backfill and compaction of removed discharge pipe location and subsequent geotextile fabric and soil-filled rockfill installation. 4. Demolition and removal of piles. D. The full scope of work is provided on the Drawings and in the Specifications. Site access route is also described and shown on the Drawings. The Contractor shall not deviate from the designated access route without prior approval of the Engineer. E. The Contractor shall be responsible for any grading or other surface improvements required on the levee crown roads or farm roads required to facilitate its hauling operation. This project will remove the remnants of an abandoned fish screen testing facility from the levee site located on the Sacramento River in Hood. The levee will be restored to the contour and grade prior to installation of the facility. Estimated Cost Range: $750,000 to $835,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
