**As of May 7, 2024, project was awarded to L&K Contracting, in the amount of $2,260,528.50.** This project consists of installing a new public gravity sewer system consisting of 3425 linear feet of new 8 gravity sewer main with manholes in the areas of Florida Avenue, Dolphin Street, Berry Avenue, Montrose Blvd, and Navy Cove Blvd in Gulf Breeze, Santa Rosa County, Florida. The project also includes the installation of new 4 gravity sewer laterals to each property within the project areas. For properties that have opted-in to the septic-to-sewer conversion program, new laterals will be extended all the way from the new public main to the locations of existing septic tanks within private properties, where the lateral will be tied into the existing sewer lateral out of the residence and existing septic tank will be abandoned. For properties that have not opted-in to the program, new laterals will be extended from the new public main only to the right-of-way line, where they will be capped for future connection. The project includes the installation of a new sanitary lift station package along Berry Avenue, from which 301 linear feet of 4 PVC sewer force main and appurtenances will be extended to a point of connection to an existing public force main along Fairpoint Drive. The project includes the installation of a new 6 PVC water main along Florida Avenue, including valves, fire hydrants, and other appurtenances. The project includes restoration of all improvements within public rights-of-way and private properties that are disturbed by construction. The City of Gulf Breeze reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any bid informalities, and to re-advertise for bids when deemed in the best interest of the City.
