The Government of Alberta (the “Province”) requires construction services for: Construction of two (2) side channels within the Elbow River floodplain for the creation of new fish habitat within the Elbow River, including but not limited to: .1 Establishment of temporary laydown areas and access routes; .2 Installation of temporary isolation measures outside of the Elbow River wetted area; .3 Excavation of two (2) new side channels within the Elbow River floodplain, including the installation of riffle structures, boulder clusters and large woody debris features; .4 Placement of excavated material within the areas within the construction footprint as noted in the contract drawings; .5 Installation of temporary isolation measures within the Elbow River wetted area; .6 Installation of riprap armouring and excavation of the new side channels immediately adjacent to the Elbow River wetted area; .7 Removal of the temporary isolation measures; .8 Installation of topsoil, riparian and upland seed and plants; .9 Demobilization from the site; and .10 Landscape maintenance activities. The site of the work for this contract is located between the following quarter sections and approximately 15 km west of Calgary, AB: NE-11-24-4-W5 NW-11-24-4-W5 SW-13-24-4-W5 SW-14-24-4-W5 SE-14-24-4-W5 SE-13-24-4-W5 NW-13-24-4-W5 NE-13-24-4-W5 The Project will include, but is not limited to, the following scope of work: .1 Site preparation, including topsoil and subsoil stripping, clearing and grubbing, and other obstructions within the footprint of the site; .2 Installation and maintenance of a site office, construction facilities and construction staging areas; .3 Supply of all materials required to perform the Work; .4 Provision of all labour, skilled trades, supervision staff, health and safety staff, sub-trades and all other staff required to perform the Work; .5 Provision of environmental monitoring services during construction; .6 Provision of the construction quality control (CQC) services; .7 Provision of all machinery, tools, vehicles, and other equipment required to perform the Work; .8 Site-wide survey (e.g. before and after photos) of the Work, including but not limited to, setting out of control points, survey of the layout of the Work, and verification all measurements and grades prior to beginning of construction, during construction, and after construction; and .9 Provision of all materials, labour and equipment required to maintain the Work in order to attain the “Total Performance of the Work” milestone date.
