The work will consist of repointing and repairs to the building's parapet wall and chimney. Each proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of City of Connellsville in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with provisions of the Contract Documents. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap. Prevailing Wage Rates will be required. The City of Connellsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the biddings. Bids may be held by the City of Connellsville for a period of forty five (45) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons who are registered as having obtained Contract Documents. All addenda will be issued to the email addresses below. Delivery confirmation to the email address provided will constitute a receipt of the addenda by the contractor. It is the contractor's responsibility to check their email addresses at appropriate intervals. Any questions regarding the project must be sent via email to seby@widmerengineering.com. There is not a mandatory pre-bid meeting, but prospective bidders are highly encouraged to visit and inspect the site. Rooftop access can be granted.
