A. The project consists of (but is not limited to) the following scope of work 1. Enhancing the indoor air quality for the Customer Service Building by means of upgrading the HVAC system. B. Project Location a. The project site is located at 625 Murray St, Alexandria, LA 71301 C. Contract Documents, were prepared for the project by Associated Design Group, Inc., 301 Jackson Street, Suite 204, Alexandria, Louisiana 70506, (318) 445-8870. D. The Work will be constructed under a single prime contract. E. Contractor shall note that local building permits are not required for State of Louisiana owned building projects. F. Contractor shall note that all requirements of OSHA must be met including the Hazard Communication Standard. PUBLIC Building HVAC Improvements For Indoor Air Quality Phase 1 Customer Service Building Bids shall be accepted only from contractors who are licensed under LA-R.S.37:2150-2163 for the classification of MECHANICAL. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. In accordance with R.S. 38:2212(8)(1), the provisions and requirements stated in the bidding documents shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived. Contractor, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, Drawings and Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following location: ADG ENGINEERING 301 JACKSON STREET, SUITE 204 ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA 701301 Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statutes 38:2212.E.(I) Bidders have the option to submit their bids and bid bonds electronically. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in R.S. 38:2219.A.( l )(a), (b) and (c). Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Bidder shall show the Contractor's license number and name of the project on the Bid envelope as required by Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2163.A.(l ). In accordance with in R.S. 38:2215. A., no Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening.
