PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, traffic control, material and debris disposal, as necessary to perform critical restoration work on nine (9) Storm Water Structures, known as Best Management Practices (BMPs), as specified herein, on primary and secondary routes, along the VDOT right-of-way within the county of Chesterfield within the Richmond District for the Virginia Department of Transportation, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with specifications contained herein. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From date of award with completion by June 30, 2025. QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION FOR BID: Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Michelle Shaffer at michelle.shaffer@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM EST on February 29, 2024. Lane Closure Advisory Management System: The Contractor shall be required to comply with VDOT Lane Closure Advisory & Management System (LCAMS). Training and data entry shall be the responsibility of the Contractor for roadways that require lane closure notifications. The Contractor shall have a minimum of two (2) individuals trained to input lane closures into the LCAMS system. Training shall be completed within twenty (20) calendar days of issuance of Notice of Award.
