Site work and new construction of a residential development in Orangeville, Utah. Completed plans call for the construction of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
**As of April 04 2024, project was awarded to Workhorse Construction LLC but awarded amount is not available.** UCA is looking to hire a contractor with extensive radio site construction experience to build a new communications site in Western Beaver County. The communications site will be complete with radio equipment shelter, generator, propane tank, solar panels, and 40' tower. *Note, most concrete work will be "on grade" due to rocky and sloped site conditions. Question Deadline 02/27/2024 at 2:00 PM MT Contact: sciquestadmin@Utah.gov UCA is looking to hire a contractor with extensive radio site construction experience to build a new communications site in Western Beaver County. The communications site will be complete with radio equipment shelter, generator, propane tank, solar panels, and 40' tower. *Note, most concrete work will be "on grade" due to rocky and sloped site conditions. General o Project completion date is June 15th, 2024. o Some site components are pending delivery, start date contingent upon arrival, weather, and site accessibility. o Site MUST be built to scale and specifications as seen in site layout drawings. Entire site layout must be kept within the Federal Government's allotted 60' X 50' footprint. o Site layout drawings and overlay in ATTACHMENT B. o Install UCA provided 40' Sabre self supporting lattice tower, tower accessories, and tower foundation. o Install UCA provided 6' microwave dish, MW radios, ice shield and LMR cables. o Install UCA provided 24" X 10' section of ice bridge and supports. o Assemble UCA provided 23' X 11' skid mounted modular two room shelter. o Install UCA provided 25 KW Generac generator in generator room. o Install UCA provided 1000 gallon propane tank and prefabricated tank pads. o Install direct burial fuel line and fuel sensor conduit and cable from propane tank to shelter. o Install ductless mini split HVAC system in communications shelter. o Install 20" interior master ground bar. o Install 20" external ground bar. o Install 20" tower ground bar. o Install UCA provided solar panels, bracketing and support pipes as per ATTACHMENT C. o Site Grounding to L3 Harris Grounding Specifications Manual T4618 Revision F. Electronic version of manual will be distributed on request. o All construction, electrical and grounding elements will be approved by UCA. o Photos of trench work, conduits and all grounding must be taken prior to backfilling. o Work area must be kept clean and free of debris. o Contractors must adhere to BLM issued Right Of Way rules and procedures. UCA to provide contractor with a copy of the R.O.W. o All UCA provided parts to be picked up by contractor at UCA warehouse and coordinated with UCA warehouse manager. o Contractor to sign Short Form Construction Contract, ATTACHMENT I. DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK Existing BLM owned micro-shelter will need to be carefully re-located to another location on site prior to construction and remains south facing and operational. Contractor to coordinate with UCA and the BLM regarding moving the BLM shelter. See photos in ATTACHMENT A. 1- Tower Tower and associated parts will be located in Milford Utah. Contractor responsible to load and transport tower and tower materials to site. o Install tower foundation as per final erection drawings in ATTACHMENT D. o Tower foundation to be "on grade" as the terrain is mostly rock and sloped. o Contractor to provide UCA with 28 day Comprehensive Strength of Concrete Cylinder Test. *The use of a delaying agent or concrete retardant is acceptable. o Assemble and install UCA provided 40', three legged Sabre lattice tower, climbing ladder, safe climb, waveguide ladder, antenna mounts and lightning rod as per manufactures drawings and specifications in ATTACHMENT D. o Install and ground one 20" ground bus bar on tower at vertical to horizontal transition, below ice bridge. 2- Communications Shelter Foundation o Shelter to be equipped with steel skids and can be built directly and anchored to mountain top. Grading and chipping the rock will be required for a level mount. o Anchoring skids into the rock will be required using epoxy resin and anchors. 3- Communications Shelter Installation. o Contractor to pick up UCA provided, 23'-1" X 11-1.1/2" X 9'2" modular and palletized two room communications shelter. o Contractor to assemble and install skid mounted shelter as per manufacturer's instructions, see shelter drawings in ATTACHMENT E. o Provide and install one Daikin 36,000 BTU wall mount, ductless mini split HVAC unit. The indoor unit to be mounted centered on the West wall 6' above floor. The outdoor unit to be mounted 7' above ground on the exterior West wall of the shelter as shown in the site layout drawings. UCA to wire HVAC to panel. o Install 8 position RF Entry port, 4 X 2 as shown in shelter drawings in ATTACHMENT E. o Install external ground bus bar below RF entry, properly ground as per grounding specifications. o Install UCA provided equipment rack 3' from RF Entry port wall (North), and 2' from West wall as seen in site layout drawing. o Provide and install 12" cable tray from West Wall to East Wall centered above installed rack. Provide and install 12" wide cable tray from RF Entry port to rack row, app. 3'2". Cable tray to be bolted and secured to walls and ceiling for rack
