2024 ASPHALT ROAD PROGRAM for furnishing the labor and material required for the City of Norton's 2024 Asphalt Road Program project according to the plans, specifications, and estimates for such improvement. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Summit County and the City of Norton, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. No bidder shall be considered a competent and responsible bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice applies, if the bidder is listed on the Auditor of State 's database as having a "Finding of Recovery " as that term is defined in O.R.C. 9.24. The City of Norton reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding. NOTICE TO PROCEED The owner will issue a Notice to Proceed within fifteen (15) days of the execution of the contract or no sooner than April 1, 2024, unless a mutual agreed upon date between the Contractor and City is beyond fifteen (15) days.
