Landscaping Services at Pace Headquarters Scope of Work Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, tools, support equipment, permits and miscellaneous supplies not specifically listed in this specification but necessary to meet the intent of this specification. The contractor's price proposal shall include mobilization and freight charges. Pace is seeking the services of a commercial landscaping contractor to provide maintenance, material replacement (as needed), and housekeeping of all landscaped areas to promote healthy growth and create a landscape environment that is neat in appearance. This work shall take place at Pace's Headquarters located at 550 W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights Illinois 60005. Contractor's Responsibility It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to examine the substrates and field conditions to assure that they will not hamper this work. The Contractor shall provide all necessary safety equipment to protect Pace property and the property of its employees, and all persons in and around the area being worked on. Contractor shall follow all current and applicable State of Illinois, local Municipality, and any Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) codes and regulations when performing this work. Duration of Contract The landscape season shall begin April 1st and continue through November 30th of each of the five (5) contracted years. Question Deadline 02/29/2024 at 2:00 PM CT. The solicitation number must be referenced in the subject line of that email. This Contract is effective beginning on the date on which Pace signs this Contract ("Effective Date") and will continue thereafter for a maximum of sixty (60) months unless earlier terminated in accordance with this Contract. If a party signs this Contract but fails to date its signature, the date that the other party receives the signing party's signature on this Contract will be deemed to be the date that the signing party signed this Contract. A Performance Guarantee satisfactory to Pace and in an amount equal to 100% of this Contract's value is required to ensure faithful performance of this Contract. Contractor shall provide Pace with either a Performance Bond (AIA Document A311) or an Irrevocable Stand-by Letter of Credit. Those Performance Guarantees shall remain in full force and effect for the term of this Contract or Contractor's warranty obligations under this Contract, whichever is longer. Contractor shall certify that it will provide the requisite Performance Guarantee to Pace within 10 business days after Contract award. Pace requires a fully qualified surety company acceptable to Pace and listed as a company currently authorized under 31 C.F.R. part 223 as possessing a Certificate of Authority as described under that regulation to provide all Performance Bonds. Pace may require additional performance bond protection when the Contract price is increased. The increase in protection shall generally equal 100% of the increase in the Contract price. Pace may secure additional protection by directing Contractor to increase the amount of the existing bond or to obtain an additional bond. Contractor shall furnish Pace with a Labor and Materials Payment Bond (AIA Document A311; no other form will be accepted) satisfactory to Pace and in an amount equal to the full value of this Contract, plus interest due on that amount, within 10 days after Contract award as security for payment by Contractor and subcontractors for labor, materials, and rental of equipment. A fully qualified surety company acceptable to Pace and listed as a company currently authorized under 31 C.F.R. part 223 as possessing a Certificate of Authority as described under that regulation may issue that bond.
