Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Champaign, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
In order to be eligible to bid, bidders must register and obtain documents from ESCA Consultants, Inc. by e-mailing jms@escaconsultants.com. The City of Champaign, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to waive any formality or technicality in any bids in the interest of the City. The criteria for selection of the lowest responsible bidder are set forth in Section 12.5-38 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended and the bid documents. To the extent required by law, the contractor shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, the Veteran's Preference Act, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, the City's Equal Opportunity in Purchasing Ordinance and the Illinois Human Rights Act. If federal funds are used to finance this project, the contractor shall comply with the Davis-Bacon Act. Sidewalk and Ramp Repairs: ADA accessible ramps will be placed on Healey Street from Edwin Street to McKinley Avenue and William Street from McKinley Avenue to Willis Avenue. ADA accessible ramps will also be placed at the intersection of William Street and Russell Street and sidewalk replacement on Russell Street. Location No. 4 - Brick Street Rehabilitation: Brick pavement patching will be performed on Park Avenue from Prospect Avenue to New Street. Non-compliant ADA sidewalk ramps will be reconstructed and deteriorated combination concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk will be removed and replaced. Location No. 5 - Sidewalk Gap: Lighting and approximately 300 feet of sidewalk will be constructed on Springfield Avenue between Kenwood Road and Kaufman Lake. Location No. 6 - Traffic Signal Upgrades: Uninterruptable power supply systems will be installed at the intersections of Olympian Drive & Mattis Avenue, Round Barn & Springfield Avenue, Randolph Street & Church Street, Randolph Street & University Avenue, State Street & Church Street, Neil Street & University Avenue, Columbia Avenue & Neil Street, University Avenue & Walnut Street, White Street & Fourth Street, Green Street & State Street, Green Street & First Street, Green Street & Sixth Street, and John Street & Sixth Street The existing traffic signal controller and cabinet will be replaced and the uninterruptable power supply system will be installed at the intersection of University Avenue & State Street. The existing traffic signal controllers and cabinets will be replaced; uninterruptable power supply systems, wide area video detection systems, and LED internally illuminated street name signs will be installed at the intersections of Bradley Avenue & Randolph Street, Neil Street & Anthony Drive, Prospect Avenue & Marketview Drive, and Main Street & Church Street. The existing traffic signal controller and cabinet will be relocated and replaced; uninterruptable power supply systems, wide area video detection systems, and LED internally illuminated street name signs will be installed at the intersection of Neil Street & Center Drive. The existing traffic signal controller and cabinet and detector loops will be removed and replaced; uninterruptable power supply system and LED internally illuminated street name signs will be installed at the intersection of Mattis Avenue & Paula Drive. Location No. 7 - North Campus Infrastructure Stoughton Street Reconstruction: Pavement, curb & gutter, and deteriorated sidewalk will be removed and replaced on Stoughton Street from Fourth Street to east of Fifth Street. The existing lighting will also be upgraded. Location No. 8 - Guardrail Repair: Remove and replace damaged guardrail at the intersection of Rising Road & Windsor Road.
