Site work and paving for a civil project in Alexandria, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
Engineer's Estimate: $400k to $550k Geotechnical Testing Laboratory, Inc. is pleased to submit this report of subsurface exploration for the above referenced project. Included in the report are the results of the exploration and recommendations concerning the design and construction of the box culvert as well as general site development. We appreciate the opportunity to have provided you with our geotechnical engineering services. If you have any questions concerning this report, or if we may be of further service, please contact our office. We understand the project will consist of constructing a seven (7) foot by seven (7) foot reinforced concrete box culvert bridge and access drive to a 45-acre tract of land. The bridge will measure 28 feet wide by 250 feet long and consist of embanked fill having headwall support with a Portland Cement concrete approach slab and a stone access drive. The bridge and access drive will reportedly be built for industrial projects. Consequently, we have assumed that traffic will consist of high quantities light automotive and fully loaded 18- wheeled trucks. Information provided to this office indicates that the project will require a fill in excess of 18 to 24 inches prior to constructing the base. If larger grade changes are anticipated, these should be discussed with our geotechnical engineer prior to finalizing design. If any of this information should change significantly or be in error, it should be brought to our attention so that we may review recommendations made in this report. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
