Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Bridges along the Morden Colliery Regional Trail: two truss bridges approximately ~100m and 110m in length that will cross the Nanaimo River and two bridges, approximately 20m in length each to replace the bridges over Thatcher Creek. All four bridges are to accommodate pedestrians, cyclists and equestrian users and are to meet the current CSA Bridge Code. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. Tender and construction timelines are undetermined. Further update in late fall 2025, upon approvals.
