The Town seeks to retain the services of a suitably qualified contractor to remove, design and build new playgrounds that will continue to support recreation play, inclusiveness, and socialization in the local neighborhoods. The Town requires one new playground in 2024 and, subject to budget approval, approximately six new playgrounds over the length of the contract. Bow Meadows Playground The old playground equipment will be removed by the Town and only the border will remain. See Appendix D - Bow Meadows Playground, for existing footprint and photographs. Laydown area - Materials can be stockpiled in a pre-determined area in Bow Meadows park. The turf must be protected. The area must be secured with construction fencing. Designs cannot extend beyond the existing footprint. The total budget for the Bow Meadows Park is $90,000. The Town does not require Bow Meadows playground to be wheelchair accessible. Crawford Park Playground Laydown area - Materials can be stockpiled in a pre-determined area in Crawford park. The turf must be protected. The area must be secured with construction fencing. See Appendix E - Crawford Park Playground for existing footprint and photographs. Designs cannot extend beyond the existing footprint. The total budget for Crawford Park Playground is $ 100,000.
