BPGB Ph 4B, Harlow Interconnect and Birch Avenue Southeast Deep Utility Project. Work includes:
Brier Park Gravity Bypass Phase 4B:
- Replacement of approx. 320m of 150 and 250 mm diameter cast iron, AC and PVC water main with 200, 250, 300 mm diameter PVC water main;
- Renewal of existing PRV valve and vault;
- Replacement of approx. 760 m of 450 and 600 mm diameter VCT and PVC sanitary sewer main with 300 and 900 mm diameter PVC sanitary main;
- Installation of sanitary diversion vault at the 3 St & 7 Ave NW intersection; and other related work. Harlow Water Transmission Main Interconnect:
- Installation of approx. 280m of 600mm diameter PVC water main to the existing stub main on 1 St. SW, through Harlow and Noble Park;
- Incidental replacement of water, sanitary and storm infrastructure to accommodate the installation;
- Replacement of 600mm CPP main as required to accommodate transmission main tie-in;
- Vault and valve installation at tie-in points;
- Replacement of water and sanitary sewer services to property line;
- Reconstruction of asphalt roadway and concrete within disturbance areas;
- Replacement of other dilapidated concrete (sidewalk, curb and gutter, ramps, meridian etc.); and
- Landscaping restoration. Birch Ave SE Sanitary Main Renewal:
- Rehabilitation or replacement of approx. 105 m of 200 mm diameter concrete sanitary main with 200 mm diameter CIPP or HDPE sanitary main;
- Incidental replacement of water, sanitary and storm infrastructure; and other related work.
TIMELINE:
Request for Proposals from engineering consultants has been awarded.
Construction is planned for the 2025 construction season.
A total of two tender packages will ensue in early 2025; tender timing will be offset so that the first tender is awarded prior to the second tender closing. *Budget is unreleased.
