Sturdy Road Lift Station Replacement Project A certified or cashier's check payable to Valparaiso City Utilities or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. All checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them by the City upon selection of successful bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract amount. Bids shall be submitted in an enclosed opaque sealed envelope, marked "Sturdy Road Lift Station Replacement Project - Division A". Bids will be evaluated, and it is the intent that an award of contract be made within 120 calendar days of the bid opening. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without consent of the Owner for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the scheduled time of receiving the same. The project includes the installation of approximately 12,200 feet of 24-inch sanitary force main, appurtenances and associated restoration. Installation of pipe will be by open cut, horizontal directional drill, and bore and jack methods. Two railroads and one state highway will be crossed with the new piping. The work to be performed and the bids submitted, including any and all separate and combination bids, shall include sufficient and proper sums for all General. Construction. Mechanical, Electrical, Installation, Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, Taxes (both Federal and State). Permits, Licenses. Insurance, Service Costs, and so forth, incidental to and require for the construction of the facilities. Bidders must be experienced in the construction of the type of facilities to be built under the Contract for which a bid is submitted.
