The City of Bettendorf, Iowa, is requesting proposals for qualified contractors to provide weed control services at City facilities, as specified. This work consists of applying a herbicide mixture on the levee system adjacent to the Mississippi River (including the Jetty Park levee), gravel shoulders along the bike path, under guardrails, on pump stations, on stone lined ditches and gabion baskets, under fences, at the base of a retaining wall and various locations throughout the City as provided on the maps provided or as described. PLANS: A list of locations is included in the proposal documents. Due to the varying width of the slopes on the levee and limited access points, bidders are encouraged to make inspection of the project locations prior to submitting a bid. The contract period will be for the 2024 growing season and has the option to extend two (2) years. A pricing proposal is to be submitted for fixed rates to provide the services specified; rates shall remain in effect for the contract period. Prices submitted shall be inclusive of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, utility, transportation services, and all incidentals necessary for the completion of all work covered by the contract documents. Failure to submit all required documents will disqualify the proposal as being non-responsive.
