This solicitation is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional design and construction engineering services. Proposals will be reviewed by a Selection Committee that will evaluate each proposal according to the selection criteria outlined in the RFP. Interviews may be requested with one or more firms responding to the RFP. Any expenses for preparing this RFP or interview expenses (including travel) will not be reimbursed by the City. Award of this contract, if any, will be to the firm deemed most qualified, in accordance with the selection criteria, to perform the services outlined in this RFP and other services as deemed necessary by the City. The Middle Road Reconstruction Project involves the planned reconstruction and expansion of Middle Road from just south of the Forest Grove Drive intersection to just south of the Crow Creek Road intersection. The project limits encompass approximately 8,000 feet (1.5 miles) of existing two (2) and three (3) lane rural cross section pavement. The pavement section itself is composite with a concrete base and hot mix asphalt overlay. The Engineering Division of the City of Bettendorf's Public Works Department wishes to select a qualified civil engineering firm to proceed with the project as outlined above. Each consultant should provide the selection committee with appropriate information that will aid in the selection of the most qualified firm. The selected consultant must follow the Iowa DOT's current requirements for Federal-aid projectdevelopment.
