Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in George School, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Newtown Township is performing roadway rehabilitation along several Township roads. A portion of the funding for this project will be provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Municipal Liquid Fuels Program. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to: replacement of concrete curb and sidewalk, including the replacement of depressed concrete driveway aprons as directed by the Township; replacement of existing curb ramps with ADA compliant curb ramps, including new detectable warning surfaces and concrete check walls where required; replacement of inlet tops, frames and grates; pavement base repairs; asphalt mill and overlay construction; replacement of existing pavement markings, and all restorations required for the work listed. The work also includes mobilization, redundant maintenance and protection of traffic and erosion and sediment controls, as necessary to perform the work. The scope of the work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and in the Construction Details. Questions Due Date: Mar 7th 2024, 5:00 PM EST The project will consist of the replacement of concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb and gutter driveway depressions, construction of concrete cheek walls and detectable warning surfaces, replacement of inlet tops and grates, inlet reconstruction, asphalt pavement milling, installation of leveling/scratch course and wearing course, and replacement of pavement markings. This project is funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Municipal Liquid Fuels Program. All materials must meet current PennDOT Specifications. Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount bid. Bid Security may be provided in the form of a certified check or a bid bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to transact such business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon award of a contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Upon completion of the contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract value.
