The Work will consist of Fencing Repair and Replacement Services including repairs of fences, structures, and gates and installation of temporary fence structures. No New installation of work. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all necessary equipment, tools, materials, labor, and supplies required to perform the work as specified herein. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bond in the sum of not less than 10% of the total aggregate of the bid price, including all additive bid items. The daily overtime rates apply whenever the work performed exceeds eight hours during any one calendar day, or forty hours per week. Saturday, Sunday, and Holiday premium rates apply for the hours worked on each of those days as specified in the applicable prevailing wage determination. Work completed outside regular business hours is entitled to shift differential pay. Contractor shall refer to the Department of Industrial Relation's Shift Provisions for guidance on the work hours that are applicable to each shift. Bidders are not allowed to bid adjustment factors below 1.0. Bids with adjustment factors below 1.0 will be rejected as non-responsive. Notwithstanding bidder's adjustment factors, the successful bidder shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, material and equipment necessary for the provision of services as described below, and according to bidder's rates set forth below. It is the intent of the County of Santa Clara - Procurement Department to establish a term contract with a contractor to provide Fencing Repair and Replacement Services on an "as needed" basis ("Contract"). The term contract shall only be used for repair work and replacement of currently existing structures with County approved equivalents. The term contract shall be for a period of one (1) year, with County option to extend for one additional year, unless terminated or otherwise amended. Total contract sum shall not exceed two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000). Successful contractor shall be responsible for all necessary tools; materials; consumables, which shall include, but shall not be limited to, workers' supplies or protective garments and disposable items used in furtherance of completing the Work; waste management and disposal; prevailing wage labor; supplies; and non-specialty equipment required to perform the work as specified herein. See Exhibit C, Scope of Work/Specifications, for details. Contractor shall be required to provide the necessary trained personnel and supervision to perform Fencing Repair and Replacement Services on an "as needed" basis at various County owned/leased facilities throughout the County of Santa Clara as describe herein. The Contractor must possess a C-13 FENCING CONTRACTOR license issued by the Contractor's State License Board at the time the bid is submitted, per Business and Professions Code section 7028.15. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any non-material errors or discrepancies in the bids. No Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for this solicitation
