Demolition and site work for a residential development in Hudson, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 16,563-square-foot, one-story above grade residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
**As of May 8,2024 has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The proposed work consists of the furnishing of material, equipment, and labor necessary for the complete demolition of the vacant building located at 94 Owen Brown Street in the City of Hudson, Ohio, in accordance with the specifications which are on file in the office of the Public Works Department. The work also includes the removal of all existing pavement and concrete, subgrade structures such as building footers and conduits and final site grading as per the specifications and drawings produced for the project. Demolition work also includes the abatement and removal of asbestos and regulated materials also identified in the specifications. Failure to appear by the start of the scheduled pre-bid meeting will result in a forfeiture of any costs of the contract bid documents/improvement plans paid by the Bidder, no future addendum notices will be given on this project, and the Contractor will not be permitted to submit a bid for the Project. A representative from each bidder is required to attend and provide proof of identification at the time of registration. Representatives are required to stay for the duration of the meeting in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project. ll bid forms, contract documents and plans are available through the Bid Express website. All electronic bidders must first register on the bidexpress.com website. Registration is free. A fee of $40 will be incurred to bid electronically on a pay-per solicitation basis; alternatively, you may subscribe for $50 per month to have access to all solicitations and email notifications. 5. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the ORC, in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the City of Hudson. 6. In the case of disruption of national communications or loss of services by Bid Express within two hours prior to the deadline for submission of bids, the City will delay the deadline for bid submissions to ensure the ability of potential bidders to submit bids. If this occurs, instructions will be communicated to potential bidders. 7. The City of Hudson, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any nonconformities not involving price, time, or changes in the work. Question Deadline 03/12/2024 at 4:00 PM ET 03:00 PM CDT Questions shall be asked All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ASST. CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE(S) in writing through the Bid Express website. The person submitting the request shall be responsible for its prompt delivery. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ASST. CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE(S) in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda to all Bidding Documents Holders through the Bid Express website. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
