The City of Apple Valley is seeking a construction manager at risk (CMAR) to provide preconstruction and construction services for construction of a youth baseball/softball complex at Hayes Park. The selected CMAR will need to coordinate their services and work with City staff and the City's selected landscape architectural firm for the Project, Confluence Inc., during both the preconstruction and construction phases of the Project. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 471.463, the City is soliciting the submittal of qualifications from firms that provide CMAR services and have a proven track record of performing as a CMAR on projects similar to the Project. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interests of the City. The Youth Baseball/Softball Complex will remove four existing fields and reconfigure them to be in a "wheel." It is anticipated that these new fields will have covered dugouts, lighting, scoreboards, irrigated natural turf, and 240-foot fences.
