Project Description: Maintain City of Akron street lighting Deadline for Questions to City April 9 by 11:00 am Deadline for City Issuance of Responses to Questions April 12 by 11:00 am Contract Award (estimated) April 29 Except as provided in Section 103.05 of the City of Akron, Construction and Materials Specifications, 2008 Edition, the Proposer to whom the Agreement is awarded will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the sum of 10% of the Contract Price for the faithful performance of the contract. The performance and payment bond shall remain in full effect until Final Completion of the Project. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposed Contract Sum (as defined in the Agreement) on a solvent bank or a bid bond in like amount, acceptable to City, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, the Agreement will be entered into. A scan of the certified check or bid bond must be submitted through the Bonfire website at time of Proposal submission. An original of the certified check or bid bond must be submitted from the apparent low bidder upon notification from the City within 48 hours. Original certified check or bid bond shall be delivered to City of Akron Engineering, 166 South High Street, Room 701, Akron, Ohio 44308. The Director of Public Service reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities.
