This project includes removal of a portion of the Runway 33 holding bay, realignment of Taxiway A, and rehabilitation of the unnamed taxiway (Taxiway L) connecting Aprons 1 & 2. The existing concrete pavement and portions of the existing asphalt shoulders will be removed and converted to turf outside the limits of the new Taxiway A geometry, which will include a run-up area apron. The new Taxiway A alignment will utilize the existing concrete pavement which will be remarked with new pavement markings and include new signage and taxiway edge lights. All new turf area will be graded to allow for proper drainage and to satisfy FAA grading requirements. The rehabilitated unnamed taxiway (Taxiway L) will remain 75 feet wide with existing 50 foot wide shoulders, and a total length of 1,300 feet. The new run-up area apron will be approximately 63,400 square feet. The total project area will be approximately 12.5 acres with 3.7 acres of permanent pavement removal. Bids must be submitted upon the proposal form(s) furnished, and the entire proposal booklet must be submitted. A deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid will be required. This deposit shall consist of a bid bond or certified check payable to the COUNTY OF ONEIDA. Failure to submit a bid bond or certified check with bid will result in automatic disqualification of bid. Failure to submit a bid upon the proposal form(s) in the proposal book furnished by the Oneida County Department of Aviation will result in automatic disqualification of bid. Performance and Material & Labor payment bonds will be required for an amount not less than 100% of bid price.
