A. The work governed by these specifications is located in the City of Midlothian, Texas, and consists of 2024 FIRE HYDRANT PROGRAM, including all necessary appurtenances. B. The intent of the contract documents, including the Standard Specifications, Technical Specifications, and other instruments, documents, drawings, maps, etc., comprising the Plans and Specifications, is to describe a completed Work to be performed by the Contractor under the contract as an independent contractor. C. The Work shall be staked by the Contractor and will be performed subject to the right of inspection of the City of Midlothian or its authorized representative. The Contractor shall set all stakes needed for utility line installation. Any provision of the agreement vesting in the Owner or Engineer the right of supervision or inspection is understood by the parties hereto to be for the purpose of ensuring that the plans and specifications are complied with and that the completed Work is performed as therein described, and no such provision shall be interpreted as vesting in the Owner or Engineer the right to control the details of the Work. This project involves the installation of 11 fire hydrant assemblies on existing water lines at specified locations, determined and specified by the city staff and as shown in the contract.
