Site work for a water / sewer project in Sherman, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Village of Sherman (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Main Street Storm water Infrastructure Improvements. The Project includes the following Work: Contract No. 1 - General Construction: Work under this contract generally consists of the removal and disposal of existing storm water infrastructure pipes and drainage inlets, installation of new storm water drainage inlets and pipes ranging in diameter from 12" to 36" along/adjacent to East and West Main Streets, and associated paving and surface restoration of disturbed areas. There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. Purchases made by the Village of Sherman are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials. Exemption certificates will be executed upon request. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Village of Sherman strongly encourages Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises and Section 3 Firms to apply. Document note: Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder of record for notification of addendums. The Provider takes no responsibility for the completeness of Contract Documents obtained from other sources. Contract Documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda that may have been issued. The Section 3 Participation Goals for this project are: a. 25% of Total Labor Hours on the Project worked by Section 3 Workers, including b. 5% of Total Labor Hours on the Project worked by Targeted Section 3 Workers. c. 30% of the new hires be Section 3 residents Question Deadline 03/13/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
