Site work for a mixed-use development in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The City currently maintains the Hays Creek 6th Avenue Bridge. This bridge has a gap on the west side, that requires a W – Beam, Barrier to be installed and maintained (for motor vehicle safety). As a key part of the city’s transportation infrastructure, regular maintenance and refurbishment is required. The services will comprise of repairs for 6th Avenue bridge barrier beam, including: (i) Removal of existing barrier beam and components (ii) Establishment of temporary jersey barriers for vehicle and motorist safety (iii) Installation of new W – Beam barrier system as per specifications shown on drawing number 2311-10471-00. (iv) Removal of temporary jersey barriers (v) Installation of new sign post (vi) Installation of energy absorbing terminal (vii) Tie new W – Barrier to Bridge Guardrail (viii) Any and all disturbed curbing and asphalt to be replaced (ix) Supply and install any and all backfill materials (x) Reestablish Jersey barriers leading down base of bridge to hydro poles (West side of Barrier Beam) (xi) Any and all traffic control, TMP and TCP needed during the duration of works (xii) West/East bound traffic to be maintained at all times (Alternating is acceptable) (xiii) BC Hydro Pole hold if required (xiv) Coordination will all other utilities and utility companies Deadline for questions September 19
