Reference Number 0000343827 The project objective is to design safety improvements for the intersection of E. Powers Avenue and S. Galena Street. This is four-way stop controlled intersection located in the Sundance Hills neighborhood. This intersection is heavily utilized in the summer as residents access the neighborhood public pool on the southeast corner. A study, conducted by the City in 2023, resulted in only 14 percent of vehicles complying with the stop signs at the intersection. Therefore, the design shall provide safety improvements to enhance vehicle stop compliance and shorten the pedestrian crossing distance on E. Powers Ave. Examples of traffic calming solutions include, but are not limited to, bumpouts, medians, and pedestrian refuges. The concepts shall be submitted by April 30th. An estimate of the range of probable project costs shall be identified by May 31, 2024, for budgeting purposes. Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Insurance Required No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening thereof. Any proposal received as a result of this request is prepared at the consultant's expense and becomes City property and therefore, public record. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to make final determination in the event of duplications.
