Renovation of an educational facility in Bristol, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The City of Bristol is accepting bids for replacement of boiler equipment and associated work at Ellen P Hubbell Elementary School, 90 West Washington Street, Bristol Connecticut. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. All work is expected to be substantially completed no later than September 30, 2024 Bidders are advised that the deadline for RFIs/questions is March 12, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Any and all addenda released by the City is expected to be provided to bidders no later than March 14, 2024 This project pertains to a project funded under the American Rescue Plan Act, Pub. L. No. 117-2 (March 11, 2021) and is subject to requirements set forth in the American Rescue Plan Act ("ARPA"). The awarded contractor will be responsible to follow and provide all requirements set by the United States Treasury's State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds ("SLFRF"). Prospective bidders shall examine the "Instruction to Bidders" and "Supplementary Instructions to Bidders" and shall comply and conform strictly with the conditions and instructions contained therein. The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut. The requirements for prevailing wage rates are to apply to the resultant contract award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. Bids must be firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days following the bid opening. The Contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
