Public Works requests proposals for the Graffiti Removal Services South Area Flood Control Facilities (BRC0000502). The services requested in this Request for Proposals (RFP) constitutes "public work" as defined in Section 1720 of the California Labor Code. The services requested in this RFP require payment of prevailing wages. All activities performed to physically remove the graffiti tags (removing graffiti by using chemical solvents, pressure washing, and painting on various surfaces to remove or cover the graffiti and to perform paint-out projects to beautify surfaces and objects) require payment of prevailing wages. Also, daily patrols and driving to and from the sites by contractor's crew to remove graffiti tags requires payment of prevailing wages. These contracts have been designed to have a potential maximum contract term of 5 years, consisting of an initial 1-year term and potential additional four 1-year option renewals.
