FY22 5th Ave. - ADA Improvement Project The Project includes the following Work: The City of Pocatello has secured funding for a project which includes four curb ramp updates on 5. 5th Avenue. The project includes two northeasterly corners of 5. 5th Ave. and E. Wyeth St. and two northeasterly corners on 5. 5th Ave. and E. Hayden St. intersections. Project scope includes the removal and disposal of existing non-compliant ramps or curb/ sidewalk sections, new base preparation, forming/pouring of new curb ramp, curb/gutter, and asphalt patch back per plan. Each curb ramp must be inspected by City staff before asphalt patch back is complete. Contractor is also responsible for traffic control through the duration of the project and must adhere to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Pedestrian access must be maintained on one side of the Ave. at all times. Bids are requested for the following Contract: FY22 5th AVE.- ADA Improvement Project. The Project has an expected duration of 30 days. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: City of Pocatello, Engineering Department 911 N. 7th Ave, Pocatello, ID 83201 Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the City of Pocatello as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Pocatello reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Pocatello. Section 3, minority- and women - owned businesses are especially encouraged to apply, as are businesses located within the City's municipal boundaries. The City of Pocatello offers a preference for documented Section 3 businesses or individuals on this project.
