The Canton Park District is requesting proposals to provide playground equipment to be purchased for: (1) Big Creek Park and (2) South Park. Desired Features: o Big Creek Park is a community park with a regional draw. The south entrance to the park is located at 940 N. Main Street, Canton, IL 61520. The specific playground location is Plus Code: HXC4+QJ3 or at GPS: 40.5718877,-90.0434632. The play system design should include components for children ages: 2 - 12 years old The play system should accommodate moderately high to high user numbers. All equipment must meet the following specifications for the play system proposal or be an approved equal. Any variance from specifications must be explained in areas beneath each item, if the specification is not met exactly by the proposed equipment. All boxes must be check appropriately. The Canton Park District will select a vendor for each playground project. The same vendor can be selected for both playground projects. Proposals must include complete drawings for each design; specifications and pictures for each component in the designs; colors available; and the specification/evaluation sheets for the part. All equipment must be competitively solicited and publicly awarded by a lead agency and now available through a procurement agency (such as OMNIA or others). The Canton Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals with or without cause, and to accept proposals which it considers most favorable The Canton Park District project involves the purchase of playground equipment and (possible) installation for (1) Big Creek Park and (2) South Park. Depending upon costs associated with the installation, the Canton Park District may choose to assemble and install the equipment with their own personnel. Playground vendors may provide two (2) designs for each playground. Vendors will be responsible for reviewing the park locations to determine the appropriateness of submitted designs. Park addresses are included in the request for proposals. The Canton Park District requires vendors to design a play system that meets or exceeds all current Federal, CPSC, ASTM, IPEMA standards and ADA requirements. The proposals shall include the costs for delivered play systems as designed, inclusive of the equipment structures, components, hardware and manufacturer detailed technical installation instructions should the Canton Park District opt to assemble and install the equipment. All delivery and inspection costs must be included in the proposal. Payment for equipment will be sent within thirty (30) days after delivery and invoicing of the play systems. All proposal amounts shall be guaranteed for not less than ninety (90) days after the proposal submittal deadline date. The Canton Park District requires this contract to awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The award decision is subject to approval by the Board of Commissioners of the Canton Park District.
