Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of April 24, 2024, project was awarded to New Look Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $1,212,878.50.** The goal of the MAC for the utilization of Targeted Group Businesses on this project is 15.0%. Reconstruction of E. 70th Street. This work includes mobilization, maintenance of traffic and traffic control, removals, traffic signage, excavation, erosion and sedimentation control, aggregate base, plant mixed asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete walk, portable precast concrete barrier, storm sewer, watermain, and pavement marking. Each bid shall be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in the form of a certified check made payable to the MAC in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the MAC, with the surety company thereon duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. Such Bid Security to be a guarantee that the bidder will not, without the consent of the MAC, withdraw its bid for a period of (70) days after the opening of bids, and, if awarded the Contract, will enter into a contract with the MAC, and in connection therewith, give Performance and Payment Bonds as required by law and on forms furnished to the Contractor by the MAC. In the event the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract, the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond enforced by the MAC. The bid of the lowest responsible bidder, provided said low bidder has made a good faith effort to meet the TGB contract goal, will be accepted on or before the expiration of (70) days after the date of the opening of bids. The MAC, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities, informalities or discrepancies.
