Reconstruction of the Parking Lots at the Hilliard Building and Grady Porter Building/Veterans Memorial Courthouse Ingham County seeks proposals from qualified and experienced asphalt contractors to enter into a contract for the purpose of reconstructing three (3) parking lots at the Hilliard Building and two (2) parking lots at the Grady Porter (GPB)/Veterans Memorial Courthouse (VMC), totaling five (5) parking lots, according to the specifications and scope of worked prepared by the County's Consultant Wolverine Engineers & Surveyors. This project consists of all removal of existing asphalt, pulverizing, excavation, removal of excess material, filling, compaction, fine grading, and other sub-base preparation in all two (2) locations (City of Mason and City of Lansing) over an area totaling approximately 7,500 square yards (syd); removal of pulverized material totaling approximately 750 cubic yards (cyd); replacement of bituminous leveling course and wearing course totaling approximately 1,850 tons; removal and replacement of 4" and/or 6" concrete sidewalk totaling approximately 400 square feet (sft); removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter totaling approximately 450 linear feet (lft); necessary signing and traffic control, pavement markings, cleanup and restoration, and all material, labor, supervision, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items that are normally associated with the described work items. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Guarantee shall be in the form of a bid bond executed by an approved surety company, made payable to the County of Ingham. Bid guarantee shall run for a period of not less than ninety (90) days. If the successful proposer fails to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) business days after receipt of Notice of Award, such guarantee shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. The deadline for submitting final questions is no later than 3:00 P.M. on March 18, 2024. If an addendum is required, it will be issued after this date.
