REFER INQUIRIES IN WRITING TO SOLICITATION CONTACT: ATTN: Martha Lakey Purchasing Specialist Email: purchasing@esc7.net Start of Services: 04/08/2024 Work Completed By: 05/31/2024 Region 7 ESC is seeking responses to this solicitation from qualified individuals or firms (Respondents) to perform the services described below (Work): To renovate the landscape located at 1909 North Longview Street, Kilgore, Gregg County, Texas, based on the available specifications provided by the HR/Operations Department of Region 7 ESC. 1.1.1 BACKGROUND The purpose of this solicitation is to award a Respondent that can meet the requirements listed in this RFP. The Region 7 Education Service Center (ESC) HR/Operations Department reservesthe right to award the Respondent in the best interest of the ESC. 1.1.2 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The below requirements are the minimum specifications to be offered by Respondent. Additional services are amendable and acceptable by the ESC. For the purpose of this solicitation items that are brand-labeled, or which may contain proprietary information are to be considered 'or equal'. Brand name and proprietary information will not affect award selection. The ESC shall determine an award based on the most responsible and responsive proposals. Due to the complexity and necessity for details in the renovation, a scheduled walk-through must be attended by all potential respondents. Failure to attend the walk-through may result in disqualification of a respondent's submission. Walk-through: March 20, 2024, 10:00 am. o Scope of Work: The selected firm will be required to remove overgrown or dead landscaping and include repair or replacement of damaged bed edging and rebury any exposed soaker hose drip lines per the below. o Participant entrance signage bed, all parking lot islands, bedssurrounding ESC on all entrances. Some fence line shrubbery. o Remove all ornamental grasses on grounds and replace with new grasses of a like or similar nature. o Trim all crepe myrtles that require pruning. o Replace all dead shrubbery with new plants of the same variety. o Remove small pine tree in the participant bed and replace with a tree of an ornamental variety. o Remove knockout roses in participant entrance bed and replace with an evergreen of low maintenance. o Add evergreen shrubs of low maintenance in the employee entrance beds. o Replace ground cover in all entrance beds with a low maintenance perennial option. o Inspect and repair/replace any edging that is deemed unusable. o Rebury any exposed soaker hose drip lines with topsoil and test functionality. o Scrape any old mulch and re-mulch completed beds with new Colorstay black mulch or equal. o Drone pictures of property provided HERE. o Additional Response Information o Respondent's hours of normal business operation. o Process of requesting and scheduling preventive maintenance. o Process of requesting emergency and after-hours repair. o Additional Maintenance contract costs per year, up to five years
