This project involves the resurfacing of various roadway sections in Maintenance District 1. This resurfacing program consists of ten (10) sections, totaling 19.2 miles in eight (8) towns. Refer to the Description of Sections, Summary of Estimated Quantities, and Location Maps, found elsewhere in the Proposal, for each section to establish the scope of work. Miscellaneous work includes curb ramp reconstruction, pavement striping, and drainage structure adjustments. In order to allow the Department to schedule manpower for road maintenance work and bridge work by State Forces, contact the Assistant District 1 Maintenance Engineer (Jim McMahon, 603-788-4641), and the Bureau of Bridge Maintenance Administrator (Tim Boodey, 603-271-3667) to coordinate paving work with maintenance activities. No work shall begin until the Department maintenance activities on each individual section are completed or the section release date is reached, whichever happens first.
