Reference Number 0000344341 The City of Kentwood is seeking professional engineering services for design and construction administration services for improvements to the Paul Henry - Thornapple Trail. Services will include design development, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, construction support, and record drawings. The scope of the Project includes the following components: 3.1. Topographic survey of approximately 13,000 feet of asphalt non-motorized trail right-of-way (ROW). 3.2. Design construction plans to include the following: o Crush and shape the existing 8.5-foot-wide asphalt trail to form a new base o Paving of 3 inches of hot mix asphalt (HMA) on top of the existing new base o Root barrier (BioBarrier) in selected locations o Installation of interpretive and other signage o Trail amenities, including benches and waste & recycle containers o Landscaping, including restoration seeding o Evaluate wooden approaches on the trail bridge north of 52nd Avenue and design improvements. o Evaluate fences along the trail and identify selected sections for refurbishment.
