The work of this contract generally consists of the construction of concrete sidewalks over 3.2 miles for thirteen (13) streets within the city limits of Lake Wales, Florida. The Contractor shall construct concrete sidewalks to an average depth of 4 inches whereindicated. The materials necessary shall be transported, placed, or disposed of by the Contractor. The project includes approximately 4,000 square yards of concrete sidewalk, placing 11,750 linear feet of sod along the edge of pavement, 875 linear feet of crosswalk, 45 handicapped ramps with warning surfaces, and associated miscellaneous items. The project shall be left in a neat and clean condition. All workmanship and materials shall be in conformance with the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2024-25) (excepting Division 1, Section 9 regarding fuel adjustments and Price Escalation) and the FY 2024-25 Standard Plans. MBE (18%), WBE (6.9%) Work will be substantially complete within 150 calendar days ; final completion- 180 calendar days Q/A- All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
