The scope of this project consists of building a new 600 student elementary school on a green site located at 315 Elizaville Ave Flemingsburg, KY 41041. The site will need to be graded and prepared for the construction of the new facility, including new roadways, parking areas, and sidewalks. The new construction will consist of masonry load-bearing wall, with steel columns and beams in some locations, steel bar joists, and light gage roof trusses. Exterior building materials will consist of masonry veneer, metal wall panels, metal roof panels and a single-ply PVC roofing system. The HVAC system will be Geothermal. An alternate for a 6,153 SF preschool addition is included as part of this project. Alternate bids will be accepted as described in the bidding documents and section 01800 Alternates. The detailed language specific to each bid package is described in section 01900 of the volume 1 project manual. Combination bids may be accepted for bid packages 010 through 095, with prior written approval from the Construction Manager and Owner. Combination bids for packages 114 through 260 will not be authorized. In order to bid a Combo Bid Package, the Contractor MUST bid each bid package individually. The Combo bid will require a separate Form of Proposal, including unit prices, manufacturers, subcontractors, and material breakout items. Any combination bid received without prior approval will not be opened and will be returned to the respective bidder. All approved combination bids will be published to all bidders through the addenda process. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities, and to reject any and all bids received, and to select that bid which it determines to be in its best interest. The award for this bid will be made on the basis of the lowest bid price as permitted in KRS 45A.36
