Renovation of a library in Chadron, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,600-square-foot library.

Project Description: The work of this contract consists of providing all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to complete the removal and replacement of the existing roof system for the Chadron Public Library Building. The new roofing system shall be a fully adhered 90 mil EPDM membrane roof with a 30-year warranty. The library building has been constructed in two phases, beginning with the original building, an addition to the west was added in 1963. The addition consisted of concrete masonry units with face bricks, like the original library construction. The original library building contains about 1600 square feet of roofing and the addition to the library has about1400 square foot of roof. Both building sections have parapet walls approximately 2 -9 higher than the existing roof elevation. Both roof sections consist of built-up asphalt roofing of about 4 ply thick. Six air conditioning units have been added to the library complex, which may conflict with the new roof installation. Along with a bid proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional bid bond or certified check payable to the Chadron Public Library Foundation in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid Proposal. Chadron Public Library Foundation reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities in bids submitted. Submit all questions regarding the drawings and specifications to the Engineer no later than 03/13/2024
