Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Chadron, Nebraska. Working plans call for the construction of a 70,560-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

As of September 23, 2025, a general contractor has been selected. Construction was scheduled to begin September 1, 2025, but has been pushed back. Attempts to obtain more information from the general contractor is underway. Furnishing of said building. 60 X84 X14 Post Frame Building - It is the intent of these specifications to describe municipal building considered necessary to perform the work assigned and will be the product of a manufacturer actively engaged in the production of the building and will embody its latest improvements in design and construction. - Delete the 6" overhangs - 6" Gutters shall be installed - Galvanized steelframing nails shall be used in all treated lumber - Garage door openers shall be installed, but not hooked up to electricity - Footings to be the standard 18" diameter, 48" below grade, 12" bottomfull of concrete Material Pkge pre-engineered wood trusses (3/12 pitch, 8' O/C) 4.5 x 5.25 3 ply eave posts (8' O/C) 4.5 x 5.25 3 ply gable posts (10' O/C) 2 x 8 treated skirt boards (1 row) 2 x 6 wall girt (24" O/C) and Roof purlins (24" O/C) 2 x 6 top girt exterior Steel siding w/ 40 year paint warranty (color to be determined) Twenty nine (29) gauge or better Steel roof w/ 40 year paint warranty (color to be determined) Twenty nine (29) gauge or better 6" overhang with gutters Footings must meet or exceeds manufacture recommendations Fasteners are to be 1 1/2" metal to wood screws for steel wall and roof, 3 1/2" galvanized pole barn nails for skirt board and galvanized steel framing nails Doors/Windows Five 12' x 12' insulated overhead doors with openers Two walk in steel exterior doors (insulated with 6"x 24" window) Each walk in door will be keyed alike with dead bolt units and non- locking entry knobs (must provide 12 keys) Each walk in door will have a 4'x4' concrete entry pad Floors Dirt sub base will be prepped for rock base course Floors will be sloped to allow drainage to the overhead doors Warranty: - 1 year on labor/5 years on parts and equipment Placement: 1014 East Niobrara, Chadron, Ne The City of Chadron reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received.
