The work includes serving as the Project's on-site Construction Manager (CM) by providing construction contractor oversight, inspecting the work, providing quality control and quality assurance, ensuring contractor compliance with laws, regulations and mitigation measures, and reviewing contractor's payment requests. The Project is a joint effort by the County's Flood Control and Water Conservation District and Central
Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD.) The Project entails improving flood protection for the CCCSD
wastewater treatment by raising the western levee along Grayson Creek and Walnut Creek between State
Route 4 to the south and the BNSF railroad track to the north in Martinez, CA. Work includes placing and
compacting fill to meet 500-year-storm flood protection levels with 3 feet freeboard, constructing concrete
flood walls, reconstructing a concrete maintenance road, removing railroad tracks, replacing fence and
gates, adjusting and relocating utilities, and coordinating work with CCCSD. Additional Project information
