Question Deadline 03/21/2024 The intent of this project is to expand the existing Ashley River Tower PACU by an additional seven (7) patient beds. The scope of work includes the demolition of existing office, administrative, and former pathology areas. Construction includes the addition of patient beds with sliding, smoke tight doors, a Nurse Station, Nourishment alcove, Clean Linen and Storage, Soiled Holding, and a new ADA Bathroom. A new smoke barrier will compartmentalize the space for egress purposes and double doors along the corridor will limit entry through the patient arca. Additional work includes demolition and replacement of finishes as well as MEP changes. The Bidding Documents for this project shall be a part of this Invitation for Construction Bids, the same as if incorporated herein Bid Security and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for all projects exceeding $100,000, Bid Security and Bond requirements for projects $100,000 or less shall be as stated in the Bidding Documents Contractors shall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-330 and Regulations 29-1 through 29-110 of the S.C Code of Laws. With the exception of licensed fire sprinkler, burglar alarm and well drilling contractors, the exemptions under Section 40-11-340 do not apply. Any prospective bidder, offeror, contractor or sab contractor who is aggrieved in connection with the solicitation of this Contract may protest to the Authority in accordance with Construction Procurement Policies for MUHA Chapter 6 Section 4330, within 10 days of the date of issuance of the Invitation for Construction Bids or any addendum thereto, if the addendum is at issue.
