Site work for a mixed-use development in Miami Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a two-story above grade multi-residential development; and water / sewer project.

The Corals Apartments, 795 81st Street, Miami Beach, FL 33141, is a city owned, 2-story residential apartment building consisting of (4) two-bedroom units and (1) one-bedroom. The Coral Apartments provides affordable housing for HUD income-certified tenants. Federal housing quality standards apply. Although the ground-level units are currently unoccupied, the second-floor units are now and will remain occupied throughout the construction process. All necessary measures must be employed to ensure uninterrupted and safe access to the occupied units. Through this ITQ, the City of Miami Beach ("City") wishes to establish a contract for the Flood Damage Mitigation of the 3 ground level units affected by flooding caused by a sanitary sewer backup. The quote is to include the removal, disposal, and replacement of the lower 24" of drywall, all baseboards, doors and frames, and kitchen base cabinets, washing of and the application of a disinfectant to all affected areas. The Contractor shall be responsible for all field measurements and Site conditions that may affect the equipment, materials, and the execution of the work required. The quote must be in the form of a "Lump Sum" detailed quotation, inclusive of all labor, materials, equipment, and all other costs (including, but not limited to, Building Department permit fees, parking space rental, and debris removal and disposal). A performance and delivery schedule must be provided. Project Location: 795 81st Street, Miami Beach, FL 33141 Estimated Budget: $57,000.00 Questions will be allowed up until 10:00 AM ET on March 8th, 2024. Questions must be directed to: Pablogomez@miamibeachfl.gov If the requirement applies, Bidder agrees it, and its sub-contractors, shall pay laborers and mechanics employed under the contract no less than the prevailing wage rate and fringe benefit payments to be used in implementation of this article shall be those last published by the United States Department of Labor in the Federal Register prior to the date of issuance of the ITQ If the requirement applies, the original bid bond must be mailed or delivered to the address below by the deadline for submittal of bids in the amount of 5% of the total base bid amount, payable to City of Miami Beach, Florida.. Days for Substantial Completion: 90 days Days for Final Completion: 30 days Performance & Payment Bond Shall only apply if the Grand Total exceeds $200,000. See Section 0400, Terms and Conditions of the Contract. Liquidated Damages Failure to achieve Substantial Completion: $ 125.00/day . Failure to achieve Final Completion: $ 125.00/day. The City reserves the right to require complete, certified copies of all required insurance policies, including endorsements, required by these specifications, at any time PREP Remediation should begin as soon as possible. The longer the contamination is allowed to persist, the greater the potential for microbial growth and resultant damage. The Bidder is responsible for obtaining any required building permits, passing inspections, and closing the permits and all costs associated therein o The site will be left clean of construction debris nightly. Demolition o Remove and discard all wallboard up to 24" from the floor. o Remove and discard the kitchen base cabinets in units 1 & 2. o Remove and discard the kitchen cabinets in unit 5. o Remove and discard all baseboard and interior doors and frames of all 3 ground-floor units. o Remove and discard entrance doors for units 1 & 2. o Remove and discard all laminate flooring throughout Unit 5. Cleaning and disinfecting o Washing all remaining surfaces with a detergent solution to remove dust and mold spores. o Washing of the affected area with a detergent solution to remove surface dirt and contamination. o Application of an EPA-registered, broad-spectrum fungicide, virucide, and disinfectant to the floor, and all areas exposed by the removal of the drywall and laminate flooring. o Disinfectants to be applied as required by manufacturer's recommendations to ensure complete effectiveness. o A/C units to be cleaned and treated with a "Mold Control" product to prevent mold mildew. Coils and drip pans are to be treated. Installation o New drywall o New kitchen base cabinets and countertops to match upper cabinets in units 1 & 2. o New kitchen cabinets & countertop in unit 5. o New baseboards throughout to match the existing ones. o New Duralux, Heavy Residential, waterproof", or comparable flooring throughout unit 5. o Pre-hung, Two-panel Shaker, solid core interior doors for the interior of all units. o Traditional Louver Panel solid core Bi-fold doors for closets. o Pre-hung, 6-panel entrance doors for units 1 & 2, new hardware to match existing exterior hardware, locks to be keyed for the existing master key. o Confirm the bathtub drain line is clear of debris at unit 1 and reattach the drain line to the existing bathtub currently in place. o Remove and reinstall the existing toilets in units 1 and 2 with new wax rings and seals. o Contractor standard labor warranty of two (2) years.
