***Apparent low bid from previous bid opening: Crown Commercial Construction - $129,824 Each Bid Must Contain the Full Name or Names of the Party or Parties Making the Same, With an Affidavit as to Interested Parties, and in the Case of a Corporation Not Chartered in Ohio, With a Proper Certificate That Such Corporation is Authorized to Do Business in Ohio, and Be Accompanied by a Bond, or a Certified or Cashier's Check on a Solvent Bank, Made Payable to the Order of the City of Shaker Heights in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount of the Base Bid. Copies of the Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, Forms of Proposals, and Other Contract Documents Are on File at the Office of the Director of Purchases of the City of Shaker Heights, and May Be Obtained at No Charge. The City of Shaker Heights Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, to Waive Any Informalities in the Bids Received, and to Accept Any Bid Which They Deem Most Favorable. he project entails approximately 52SF of the Shaker Heights Service Center Building will be renovated to make accessible an existing restroom. The new work includes demolition of the ceiling, demolition and replacement of door frame and door, demolition of floor, replacement of plumbing fixtures, finishes and lighting. All trades necessary for the successful completion of this project will be required. Contractors to consider construction phases to minimize operation disruptions. The scope of work consists of the renovation of a portion of the existing Public Works/Service Center building to update a toilet room. The new toilet room shall have one (1) toilet, and one (1) lavatories, new door frame and door, new lay-in ceiling and lighting. The project will require coordination between the Contractor and the Public Works Department representative to ensure that there are no unplanned disturbances to City operations. The work may require after-hours or weekend work to ensure that there are no unplanned disruptions. The work shall include all tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, disposal and expertise required to perform the work. The scope shall include any other items not specifically listed that are required to provide a complete renovation as described herein. The Contractor is responsible for notifying the City of any discrepancies in the scope of work and that which is required for a complete and finished project. area. The project will require coordination between the Contractor and the Public Works Department representative to ensure that there are no unplanned disturbances to City operations. The work may require after-hours or weekend work to ensure that there are no unplanned disruptions.
