** As of May 8, 2024 this project has been awarded to National Security and Door Corp with an amount of $1, 062,055.40. ** Replacement of Exterior Doors, Interior Doors, and Access Control Systems at Amherst County Public Schools. Please provide a detailed description of the doors, hardware, and access control system proposed and explain its compatibility with the requirements set forth in Section 1.0 General Information/Scope of Work, of this document. Include equipment manufacturer name and product model numbers, etc., non-proprietary status, and monitoring alternatives available. All proposals should be as thorough and as detailed as possible so that Amherst County Public Schools may properly evaluate/the offeror's capabilities to provide the requested product and/or service. The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, religion, color, sex, or national origin, age, disability or any other basis prohibited by state law relating to discrimination in employment, except where there is a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the contractor. The contractor agrees to post in conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for employment, notices setting forth the provisions of this nondiscrimination clause. An amount of 5% shall be indicated on each progress invoice submitted as retainage against satisfactory job completion. For the protection of the Amherst County Public Schools, the right is reserved to accept or reject any or all proposals, to consider the competency and responsiveness of all Service Companies, and to use any information deemed necessary to establish the ability of any Service Company to satisfactorily perform all conditions of the agreement. All materials shall be billed before June 30, 2024 and all labor shall be complete and billed by August 12, 2024 Any work required for project completion that is incomplete and not accepted by the Amherst County Public School's Chief Operations Officer shall be subject to a liquidated damages penalty of $500.00 per day, commencing on August 12, 2024.
