Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) will be conducting a sewer condition assessment of the 16-inch force main associated with Clear Creek Lift Station. The Clear Creek lift station was constructed in 1991 and is located off West Tech Road in Springboro, Ohio as shown in Figure 1. The assessment will utilize an in-situ pipeline inspection technology to obtain data on the condition of the pipeline. Montgomery County is requesting proposals for construction services to support the condition assessment of the force main. Work is intended to occur in April of 2024. These services include the following items will be required: 1. Modifications to the existing flow meter vault. 2. Supply, installation and removal of piping to permit insertion of inspection tools. 3. By-pass pumping of the Lift Station. In order to facilitate the inspection, modifications are needed to the existing flow meter vault shown in Figures 2A- 2C. The top and lid of the existing vault must be removed. The existing vault is a cast in place vault. Once the inspection work is completed a new top section and new lid must be installed on the meter vault. The existing flow meter must be removed prior to the work and then re-installed after the inspection work. The existing piping will need to be cut to make room for the launch pipe. Additional piping modifications will be needed to re-install the flow meter. Contractor shall supply all necessary equipment and tools required for the work.
