This project consists of, but is not limited to, an emulsion Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) treatment on McCormick Road between Cherry Lane and Lindberg Avenue. Following the FDR, contractor shall apply a 2 inch HMA surface layer. No oral, telephoned, telegraphed, facsimile, or email bids or changes to bids will be considered. The total bid price shall be clearly displayed on the top of the bid packet within the envelope. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope marked 2024 McCormick Road Full Depth Reclamation and Resurface.Late bids will be returned unopened. McCormick Road north of Lindberg Avenue will have a 2 inch HMA surface applied as well. Bids must be entered upon the bid form and the State Board of Accounts Contractors Bid for Public Work Form 96 (Revised 2013) submitted in triplicate with the bid and non-collusion affidavit properly executed, and must comply with the statutes of Indiana and with the rules and regulations of the State Board of Accounts of Indiana. Forms are available at the City Engineers Office, 222 N Chauncey Ave, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. The bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price made in favor of the City of West Lafayette, Indiana, which amount shall accrue to and become the property of the City should the Bidder, awarded the contract, fail to enter into the required written agreement and secure same with the required one hundred percent (100%) performance, payment and guarantee bond. Wage rates shall not be less than the common construction wage as determined pursuant to IC 5-16-7-1 et seq. as amended. Bids remain in effect for sixty (60) days. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities of bidding. The lowest & most responsive bid will go before the Redevelopment Commission for acceptance on April 17th, 2024.
